Annular cutters (also known as core drills, magnetic drill bits, or steel plate cutters) are designed for efficient, ring-shaped cutting in structural steel.
With cutting depths of 25mm, 35mm, 50mm, 75mm, and 100mm, they produce precise holes 8–10 times faster than traditional twist drills. Fully compatible with all major magnetic drill brands.
Core Drills Applications:
Ideal for high-precision drilling across industries:
- Structural Steel Fabrication (Beams, Channels)
- Railway & Bridge Construction (Tracks, Girders)
- Shipbuilding & Offshore Platforms
- Heavy Machinery & Pipeline Engineering
- Aerospace Component Manufacturing
Magnetic Drill Bits Advantages:
Extreme Drilling Efficiency
- Triple-layered carbide tip geometry cuts through steel 8–10x faster than conventional twist drills.
- Reduced power consumption & operator fatigue.
Precision & Durability
- 3-blade staggered tooth design (patented EST technology) ensures even load distribution, minimizing chipping risk.
- Hardened HSS or carbide bodies withstand high-torque drilling in 50mm+ thick steel.
Cleaner Operations & Cost Savings
- Hollow core design ejects chips instantly, eliminating clogging during deep cuts.
- Retains reusable steel cores for material savings.
- Replaceable pilot pins extend cutter lifespan.
Universal Compatibility
- Fits all FEIN, Evolution, DEWALT mag drills and generic magnetic bases.
- Compatible with drill presses, milling machines, and CNC setups.
Safety Optimized
- Reduced kickback risk vs. twist drills.
- Flush coolant ports to prevent overheating.
Proven Performance Features:
Advanced Blade Structure
- 3-segment tooth system (Inner/Mid/Outer blades) distributes workload evenly.
- Staggered tooth pitch dampens vibration for smoother cross-hole drilling.
- Internal chip breakers enable continuous chip evacuation – even in 100mm depths.
Engineered for Tough Jobs
- Drills overlapping/cross holes without deflection.
- Cuts stainless steel, alloys, and non-ferrous metals with coolant.
Usage Guidelines
1. Secure Setup
- Ensure the cutter is fully seated in the arbor with zero wobble.
- Verify mag drill base is clean and firmly attached.
2. Coolant is Critical
- Use continuous coolant flow (preferably internal) to prevent tip degradation.
3. Optimal Cutting Parameters
- Start slow: Feed gently for the first 2mm, then increase speed.
- Maintain 30 m/min blade speed (min. 20 m/min).
- Reduce feed near the exit to prevent edge breakout.
4. Troubleshooting Tips
- Vibration? Check RPM, machine stability, or worn pilot pin.
- Stalled cut? Power off → rotate cutter backward → clear chips → resume.
