Rolls are important tools and key components for rolling ferrous metal materials. Rolls can be divided into cast rolls, forged rolls, and tungsten carbide rolls. They have high hardness, large machining allowance, and difficult processing. Especially for large-scale casting rolls with casting defects such as sand, pores, and hard spots, the hardness requirements for cutting tools are relatively high.

PCD/PCBN small boring cutter for machining rolls
At present, the processing of rebar rolls and the crescent grooves of the roll ring mostly adopts CNC rotary flying en-graving and milling machines, which are processed by rotary milling technology.
