When the rotation direction of the milling cutter and the workpiece contact part and the workpiece feed direction is the same, that is, the component force of the milling cutter on the workpiece in the feed direction is the same as the workpiece feed direction. It called climb milling. When the direction of rotation of the milling cutter and the workpiece contact surface is opposite to the direction of cutting feed, it is called up milling.
Application:(1)There is no hard skin on the workpiece surface; (2) No clearance on the feed mechanism of the machine tool.
Suitable material: aluminum magnesium alloy, titanium alloy heat - resistant alloy.

Milling width: 60%~80% of milling cutter diameter
When the milling width is 100%, the cutter cannot remove chips, poor toughness, affecting the service life of the cutter
